Re: Games!

I'm still playing Minecraft , but recently got hold of an update. Which uninstalled all my mods. Le sigh. So I've started a new singleplayer world, and I'm trying out the new "large biomes" map setting. And they do mean large , since I first spawned in the middle of a forest, the full ext...

Re: World Building Collab Thread

I figure that the steampunk stuff would just incorporate the magic rather seamlessly.

Some civilizations might rely on one more than the other, but they'd all have common elements.

I mean, a fridge is a fridge.

Now I get what's bugging me about that design (aside from the whole submersible carrier bit): I see no proper radar mast. Every carrier I've ever seen always has a huge mass of those on the superstructure or it wouldn't be able to do the whole air traffic shtick. Perhaps they're retractable to avoi...

Dragograd Novimaestrazhia http://www.equilibriumfans.com/Marta-libria4.jpg It was entirely true that the Sanctum could have chosen any of a number of occasions on which to send a Messenger to Novimaestrazhia that would have been even more awkward than the present. I have magic, and so does Siege. I don't think gene-mods or cybernetics are going to be an issue.

EDIT: Unless you mean in reference to the Olympics. No idea, in that case.

I'll take a chunk of North America if nobody minds. Will update shortly with details. Czernobog has already staked out Canada, the United States, and Mexico for his Phoenix Empire, and while I was toying with the map earlier, I was considering giving Alaska and Hawaii to Fin. The entire thing? Well...

Basic premise is that local diseases affected the European colonists rather than the other way around, so things didn't work out the same.

Returning to this, I'm immediately struck by the fact that it gets off to a weak start by failing to adequately introduce central characters. So rather than attempt to continue, I'm going to start over from scratch. ~ So; Eira is 20. She lives in Klerakan, Eidantordan. Having determined during her c...

Re: The Thunderverse

A 'realm' is generally considered to be an area where there is light, heat, and/or atmosphere in excess of the average. For most people it is simply any discrete area of the universe that isn't by nature hostile to human life. Circa Y4017, astronomer-thaumaturges have identified three primary catego...

The great desert between realms has many names, some of them, perhaps, predictable; the Infinite Dark, the Darkness, the Freeze, the Void, and so on. Nalim never much liked the base commander. Ghatur was an inflexible clod without a solitary gram of ingenuity in his body. That DMil selected him to run such a valuable facility was a slap in the face to more effective personnel, like his executive officer, Osryn. In that light, there was something ...

Bad News: I've been a horrible mod and completely forgotten to do my tickers. Luckily, I rolled for three months in-game and nothing out of the ordinary happened. :P

Good News: I finished a hellish exam week and now have time to do the Depot Battle post, so I'll get on that.

No problem. I'll try to get it done this evening. Possibly earlier, if I can get it done on my break.

Also, if Mobius or Siege would like to give me some more information about this depot I'd be happy to start a google doc on the defense.
