Re: Found ye olde backups

Invictus told me about this so I had to race back immediately. This is some lost Doctor Who episode shit, fantastic. In a way it was good that I couldn't see the stuff I'd written as a kid, but it's better to have it all back :v I'll talk to the tech guys I work with and see if there's some possibil...

Re: Collaborative Post-by-Post Universe: COMIX 10TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Metahuman powers are highly diverse in both form and scale. As such, the observation and categorisation of superpowers is considered of vital importance. Governments employ everything from leading scientists and intelligence analysts to private detectives. EXCIGIS relies heavily on this raw intellig...

That retcon is actually scary enough that it might happen in a real comic book.

Cranking the calculator up to 1 exaton and then working out how to position it so that only Australia and Papua New Guinea are untouched by the thermal radiation was kind of fun :v And no, I don't think the Moscow attack has ever been elaborated on. I'll admit that my lack of knowledge regarding Mos...

So much for 'slow updates' lol

Though it's early days I have no doubt that the two threads shown here are connected somehow, possibly making this gang war potentially completely spectacular.

Well, we do have a lot of uranium and we love selling dirt.

Incidentally there was a recent discovery of about $20 trillion worth of shale oil in South Australia. Might want to keep that in mind!

Re: Sins of San Dorado

The emphasis on anti-corporate action brings to mind 80s cyberpunk and the social feeling surrounding growing companies. Sins of San Dorado itself features corporations that have reached that 'end state' of power, so I like the parallel.

Something about this makes it feel like it's set earlier than 1991, but Ii can't put my finger on it. Maybe because of all the new 21st century stuff. Fun though.

Re: Sovereigns of the Stars Supreme, revisited

I thought we had discussed something like this earlier in the thread but apparently not. I really like this regulated aspect of Bragulan wars as part of a wider system of control (S3 plan genes memes etc etc). Sometimes winning is beneficial, sometimes losing. Sometimes they win when the lose and lo...

The synod is a thing that occurs on a single day. If you want to Hohmann to Mars, you basically have to leave as soon as you arrive unless you want to be stuck there for 26 months.

Re: Random Ideas (Input Requested!)

I actually vaguely remember a Soviet Mars mission in CSW back on OZ, but times have changed. As Boots says, a Mars mission is going to rely a lot on orbital mechanics. A Hohmann transfer between Earth and Mars would take 8-9 months one way. Which is about how long MSL took to drop Curiosity off at G...
