Re: Should we even bother? (SecSan'12)

How about we just exchange SecSan pics/doodles instead.

Just simple drawings of characters from whomever we get's work or something?

Re: Fanfic Idea - Warhammer 40,000: Unforeseen Consequences

I have only a passing knowledge of Warhammer 40k , and while I played the hell out of the first Half-Life back in the day, I have yet to play the second game. Still interested in seeing where you'll be going with this, though. In any case, I have quite a few questions. Are the fauna of Xen going to...

I know very little about WH40K or Half life. But this still seems awesome to me.

Does that seem right to you?
Yeah, it does. I've read fanfics--good ones, too--about stuff I only have a passing knowledge of.

Fanfic Idea - Warhammer 40,000: Unforeseen Consequences

Okay, the following pic was an insomnia-fueled joke: http://www.omniverseone.com/forum/download/file.php?id=277 But it made a plot bunny bite me. ----------------------- Setting: Black Mesa (Forge World) Plot: The forge world Black Mesa is home to a secretive Adeptus Mechanicus sect known as the Lam...

Not really. It's just based on an old rectangular shockproof watch I had as a kid.

Re: Universe Idea: The Geist of It

Ladies and gentlemen, Sheriff John Baylor. I based his uniform on the Chelan County Sheriff's Department (except the Stetson hat and spurs, of course), although Prestonne's Sheriff Department doesn't really belong or answer to them since in-universe it exploits some obscure, convoluted loophole to d...

Re: Universe Idea: The Geist of It

Added some characters. I spoilered the descriptions so that they don't take up too much space.

I decided to start with the John Baylors since, hell, John Baylors are fun.

Re: Universe Idea: The Geist of It

Blue Cheese lol That was actually a happy accident. I saw the name Vluchi fleetingly in the credits of something that was showing on TV and thought it'd make a good character surname. Added an s to it since I have this weird predilection for names with an odd number of letters, and I realized that ...

Universe Idea: The Geist of It

I wanted to try my hand at having a universe again, but I wanted to try something a bit different. Instead of the usual formula of worldbuilding articles and stories, I'm planning to write this one as if it was a TV series. The worldbuilding will be limited to a few paragraphs in the series bible wh...

Re: YOUR DAILY EXPLOITS!

Copy editing was more related to what I studied for, although I was tempted to switch to copy writing several times due to the sheer amount of godawful shit I had to edit, and designers needed familiarity with Corel Draw, which I have no experience with.

I was working on a similar setting myself, but going in a somewhat different direction. For how the governance works, perhaps you could try researching the truck system and company scrip--basically, a company town writ large. Then perhaps blend it with, say, the guilds and noble estates of the 16th ...

Well, if you have some ideas you can go ahead and have fun with the MABRT and company, Shroom. I've been too busy with medical stuff and work stuff lately to really hang out online that much (and I still need to catch up with Vic's ADVENT REY, dammit).

More of a structural defect in one of the leaflets of the heart's bicuspid itself. It won't close properly, so there's some backflow. Re: Official Movie Review Thread

So I finally saw the Avengers film. It kinda started out a bit slow for me in the first half, even with the witty banter. Climax and end were great though. Only complaint with the invasion part was how it sort of felt, I dunno, lacking in how the Chitauri looked. I blame Transformers 3 and that alie...
