Re: Shear Anarchy / San Dorado [Worldbuilding Exercise]

I like it, but at first I was kinda confused what part was water and what was land until I remembered about the fact San Dorado was the island. Will there be a simple colored map down the foreseeable future?

Re: Hello there

Eww, it's an imouto. Regardless, welcome to the Forums. It's a bit slow as of late, but I wouldn't trade this place for anything else in the world, it taught me everything I know about Worldbuilding. While we have our joint project, may you can develop your own setting here outside of the chaos of D...

Re: General Info, Q&A, etc.

I just realized something: with the Tyxan penchant for dropping bioweapons, viruses, bio-engineered creatures, and etc onto targets, even doing things like engineering those Tyxan hybrids, what if humanity never actually saw an actual Tyxan? I'll have to dive back into my old writings to see what I...

Re: Sovereigns of the Stars Supreme, revisited

The Man, the Myth, the Legend himself! I love the weirdness of this whole bio that is both strange yet sounding so seemingly mundane. The timeworn noospheric substrate, the ancient dreamcrypt, the cognovaults! I've been looking at European comics recently and the closest thing I can even compare thi...

How big are they here generally? Oh gosh, I guess about 20 meters in length to take into account the various internal components, storage for ammunition, cockpit, and engine; About the same size in meters as the Northrop YF-23 "Black Widow II" Jet Fighter prototype or MIG-31 "Foxhoun...

Re: General Info, Q&A, etc.

That, and to justify the tactical use of small starfighters rather than boring, robo-controlled drones. Starfighters sort of become like gunboats around Jump Gates. How big are they here generally? Oh gosh, I guess about 20 meters in length to take into account the various internal components, stor...

Re: General Info, Q&A, etc.

-snip- The use of AI in Gate Construction as well as the use of ship engines to determine gate travel time is interesting. I'll be honest though, I chose Jump Gates because I wanted to justify the existence of Starfighter-class ships as a sort of lightweight and versatile Gate Offensive and Defensi...

Re: Long Abscence Thread.

Here is what I have on Project Epsilon. http://www.omniverseone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1446 I don't want to go off-topic on this thread, but basically it's a space opera mixed with a bit of Harry Potter and Epic Fantasy. Basically humans left the old, post-apocalyptic Solar System, yoinke...

Re: So I've written an SF novel published on Amazon...

Damn that's impressive. Do you tend to write as you go or do you plan every little detail? The amount of stuff in the Undiscovered Frontier stories are quite detailed, so I'd be very impressed if you wrote this stuff on the fly.

Re: Long Abscence Thread.

I keep saying i'm back, and then get dragged into the joint Science Fantasy project my sister and I are working on (with a private Discord channel with other people too). 50 page "Introductory" Bible that is only halfway done and a 50-page story about a boy and his Eldritch Summon, but I s...

Re: Project Epsilon (Science Fantasy Wargame/Tabletop RPG concept)

Groups 1, part 1 of 2 AAAGGHHHHHHH!!!! This is taking longer than expected so I'm cutting it into sections, releasing the Custodial Protectorate and Republic of Maveth parts first and will release the Novi Phaedran and Carnemicum section later. Jokes on me for trying to do extensive backgrounds on ...

RIP Stan Lee

I'm not much of a Marvel fan, but it still sucks that such a component to Comic Book history has passed. https://www.npr.org/2018/11/12/106322838/a-marvel-of-a-man-stan-lee-dead-at-95 American comic book writer, editor, publisher and former president of Marvel Comics, Stan Lee, passed away today at ...

Re: Project Epsilon (Science Fantasy Wargame/Tabletop RPG concept)

Although I'm having a hard time seeing how tanks and power armor are seriously contested by something called a Carnie Technical, I love the descriptions you've given us so far :-D . Yeah, the Carnemicum are relatively weak, but make up for it with dirty tricks. The Carnie Technical is mostly focuse...

Re: Project Epsilon (Science Fantasy Wargame/Tabletop RPG concept)

What started as a short fun way of expanding my universe with a short lecture set in the Custodial Protectorate about weapons, has devolved into something bigger. I've been writing from 12 AM to 12 PM nonstop. Writing style is a bit experimental, inspired by Steve's wonderful Undiscovered Frontiers ...

Edited The Hero Units, notably the Carnemicum to highlight the fact that Hybrids are those that bonded with an ArchMedusozoan, Pariarchs being the Elites and Leaders of the Carnemicum who are also Hybrids.

Re: Project Epsilon (Science Fantasy Wargame/Tabletop RPG concept)

If you're still working on this, it might be a good idea to give an overview of the general types and categories of units/models in your hypothetical skirmish wargame. This might give a better idea of the scale of the battles involve and contextualize the heroes you've mentioned so far? That's true...

WHAT A JOURNEY. I am not one to read fanfics, especially not Star Trek related stuff, but this...this made me lose sleep. The cinematic writing style, the tensions in the plot...I actually gasped with every crossover reveal. I could imagine the characters in my head acting like a TV series. Also the...
