Re: Possible RPG game
Er, sorry, but my nation (if approved, which I'm not sure about) would control the OTL US, Canada and Mexico on the map. Some of us might be inclined to occupy my territory if you are going take that much... Though for certain, mine has a high degree of industrialization, with maybe a few underwate...

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd5/Heretic501/MAP.png You're a life saver, Booted Vulture! Thanks. Anyway, my lands are in purple but I don't know who should claim Honshu. Maybe it's a contested area filled with old battlegrounds and secret fortresses? I am willing to lose half of Honshu really...

Re: Possible RPG game
The problem with the map is that the Kyushu looks as if it is mated to Honshu.

Hehehe... This is going to be interesting... Who wants to take up China? I will likely be occupying a portion of the area above it, pressing towards some of the frosty parts of Siberia. I only require certain parts of China (specifically, the provinces of Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan, Hunan, Jiangxi,...

Alright, here's my own play (though I admit I shameless ripped the Japanese Anime Last Exile for much of the inspiration): Dai Nippon Teikoku http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb2/elessar35/vlcsnap-2012-07-02-21h16m25s188.png Empress "Shinigami" Sadako The post-futuristic Japan, it is rul...

Re: Possible RPG game
Well if it is in the real world, I'm content with only having the Kyushu prefecture if Finolfgin is okay with me having part of Japan. Dude, we could create multiple Japans.. No one is going to be picky about it. As Langley pointed out, there have been multiple spins on the same country in previous...

Re: Possible RPG game
I can almost imagine myself doing the following headline:
Our Fearless Troops Prevail over the Gaijin!
When in actual truth, it was such a Pyrrhic victory because half the army was taken out when a lone Vietcong managed to kamikaze and release the nuke he was carrying.

Re: Possible RPG game
I think at the base level, we expect some kind of mutual balancing of everything. THis game isn't really about power gaming but rather doing whatever what we feel like doing, i.e. letting the creative juices run free rather than getting bogged down by an endless litany of rules. For example, I was t...

Possible RPG game
Hi all, Siege and I have been discussing and we have been thinking of a possible planetary wide setting where there are many nations/factions and people would manage the various nations/factions. One possible setting we discussed was a scenario where there are nations and factions where there's a ce...

Re: Sovereigns of the Stars Supreme, revisited
Because it's neither exactly the Byzantine Imperium nor the Holy Empire of Haruhii. And the Byzantine Imperium was conceived as, well, the IoM from 40k but with Greek names. We're taking some of the basic ideas of these things, like patriarchial demigod supreme leader of xenophobic intolerant fanat...

Here's an idea wrt machine procreation: self-replication. But not like in dreary nanotech or anything. No, these Great Machines start their life as strange, sudden, and practically imperceptible fluctuations in the quantum foam, the seething froth of wormholes and tiny black holes a hundred billion...

Well, one idea I have is that the Sparks are randomly produced by the AllSpark and then they travel far and wide until they find a body and environment they like. Doesn't have to be in machine space but yeah.

The Machine Race
So Siege and I were talking about a potential new SDNW game we and Shroom and maybe Shady and PeZook would be working on. I decided that it was high time to leave the "Byzantine" schtick and try something new. So here it goes... The Machine Race Brief Overview The Machine Race is a race of...
