Re: Random Ideas X, Random Hard With a Vengeance

This idea looks neat. Would magical girls also possibly be the means of FTL travel in this idea? Hmm if it's hard-ish, perhaps there might not be artificial gravity on ships but how might magical girls help lrotect against acceration in your opinion?

Re: First Glimpse

Planning on writing more stuff in this verse? Because it looks interesting. Thanks. I might if get inspired and find something appropriately hornblower/aubrey/ramage to write for it. Hmm how Hornblower or Aurbrey or Ramage would you have it be? Would such homages be reflected even in weapons and co...

Re: The Earthling Humans [Gloguk Participant Race]

Do the Greeks allow for freemen to work their way into becoming Citizens ala Imperial Rome or Heinlein's Terran Federation from the book Starship Troopers? Or are they stuck being freemen only?

I'll put my responses for other countries later but for the Catholic Church, tell me do they have hot & cute nuns? :P

Because it sounds like a prime case for Anime Catholicism, complete with handsome priests who can kick ass. :D

After reading the SOTS Master List, and some of the discussion on the main SOTS page, I kind of feel a lot of stuff was added in more because it was cool than because it really fit together well. Uh this multiverse-fanfic of Steve's isn't really centered on SOTS and the "SOTSverse" aka un...

Steve wrote: Mon Feb 20, 2017 6:24 am Which Empire? The only one I remember was someone wanting to do TGG stories involving Poul Anderson's Empire.

And right now the answer to that is "no".
The Poul Anderson Terran Empire from the Dominic Flandry series that's part of the Technic History setting.

Ah okay.

Do you plan on putting in the Terran Empire from the Dominic Flandry series of novels as one of the universes here? I remember seeing that in a discontinued TGG story, which IIRC is now like non-canon or something, but anything similar here?

Re: Timeline of Terran history (v1.3)

Version 1.3 is now up! It's been far too long. I can't remember all the changes I've made in the intervening months, but all the ones I've seen fit to put into this public release happen from the 23rd century onwards. Man, where have you been!? I've been working at my usual glacial pace. It's taken...

Nice! Was Earth located near any of the places on that map? I know the USS was composed of some of its most distant colonies but how distant is "distant" I don't know. Do we even know what type of FTL capabilities are used in the SOTS? Hell might the broken remnants of what was once Earth ...

It's perpetually being tweaked though so that's OK :D And I guess each polity and faction with SOTS is big enough to be OK with degrees of variation. I guess that's also a weakness in that each thing isn't entirely definitive and can self-contradict? Do you have a map or anything? SOTS all takes pl...
