Re: General Info, Q&A, etc.

Hm considering the possibility of blood-powered Tyxan PA, what if to sustain themselves in the field, like refilling an empty blood pack to allow for bursts of strength, Tyxan PA can also drain blood from enemy combatants. They could get a reporting name like "Vampire" or something. And si...

Re: General Info, Q&A, etc.

Huge, Kilometer long battleships are extremely rare. Many ships are about the size of modern naval vessels since the JumpRings, while very large, wouldn't be able to transport whole fleets at once. As for propulsion, Tyxan would basically be using what would be akin to powerful space farts from the...

Re: General Info, Q&A, etc.

The Tyxans using space farts to propel their ships makes me imagine a Gloguk ship deciding to shove its own "fart" in their direction. Cue a Gloguk ship using its antimatter torch to ignite both the Tyxan ship's fart and the Tyxan ship itself . :D Still...space farts. Using pure gas to pro...

Re: The Varakeef

Are the Varakeef, or the Gloguk in general, the type to try to turn planets into ecumenopoli ala Trantor or Coruscant?

Like is Varakeef hatred of organic things so intense they'll fuck over a nature park deliberately?

Re: General Info, Q&A, etc.

You're welcome Do you have a general idea on the sizes of ships here, like their lengths? And how do Gloguk ships & Tyxan ships propel themselves at sublight? Like do Tyxan ships use some sort of organically created singularity, since you mentioned the Yuuzhan Vong as a possible inspiration, whi...

Re: The Earthling Humans

You mentioned California is in a Tech Rush. What kind of Tech Rush is it and how is Los Angeles doing here? Is Hollywood still a moneymaker and is Scientology still around? Ooh and since cloning is allowed, are we seeing clones of famous movie stars dead centuries ago? Like you Sylvester Stallone or...

Re: The Earthling Humans

In regards to Participating Races, is there a point where the Gloguk allows them to join as full members after long enough guidance?

Also what nation/bloc has the highest standard of living?

Re: General Info, Q&A, etc.

Yeah in ME there are both mass relays (JumpRings) and mass effect drives. So considering the only way to go FTL is through JumpRings, how long have both the Gloguk and Tyxans been spreading JumpRings around the galaxy? Are the Tyxans still a matriarchal society? And considering they look like "...

Re: General Info, Q&A, etc.

So are Jump Rings the only means of FTL travel here? Or is it like there are ship FTL drives as well but they're much, much slower like how is done in Mass Effect? And what do the Tyxians look like here? Any similarities to their older versions in your first Hardcore verse? Like do they still look l...

Re: Random ideas (again)

idk anything abotut 17th century pirates so I can't say anything about that.... but here's what my butt has in mind... How would that work? It depends on how the crew wants it to work :) The important thing would be that mutiny isn't a crime - if the crew decides they don't want to do something, th...

Re: Accelerating Future (working title)

Magister will we get to see uplifted animals fighting alongside human/transhuman soldiers in the Commonwealth?

Will there be aliens in this verse or is it Earth descended only?

Re: Accelerating Future (working title)

So there hasn't been much progress here on a account of a few details. Most notably that I caught a virus earlier in the week that has sapped virtually all my efforts to not be a nonproductive bum. I should be better by next week and back on track with AF. Have the two Risen Empire books I sent hel...

Re: Nova Mundi: 2100+ roll-call/discussion thread [OOC]

Wellis, would you be interested in joining the game we have going on? Or does that not interest you? Honestly I wouldn't be interested. I've just never really gotten into the roleplaying aspect of roleplaying. To give an example, if Nova Mundi was a tabletop RPG I'd be the person who'd just try to ...

Re: Nova Mundi: 2100+ roll-call/discussion thread [OOC]

I have to ask, why wouldn't the merchant class here attempt to also force modification of non-Bathysite species and cilivizations to be affected by empathy pheremones? It would allow them to more easily manipulate species to allow for easier or unfair trading. And why wouldn't the scholars also att...

Re: Nova Mundi: 2100+ roll-call/discussion thread [OOC]

Some tidbits about the Bathysite homeworld and social development: The home world of the Bathysites is a very large (but none too dense) planet, but with enough landmass and geological activity drawing up heavier elements to the surface to support advanced technological societies. The size of the p...

Re: Notes and Stuff

NoXion are we going to see any stories during the later eras? The RPG stuff is interesting but you also have this grand era of interstellar exploration and the massive conflict between the Terrans and the Fang. Will we ever get to see anything about that? For instance what is Fang ground warfare lik...

Re: Notes and Stuff

You mention "magic". Is this really some form of advanced technology that makes the effects look magical or is it really more esoteric? I guess is the magic here merely Clarke's Law tech or is it something that's physics defying?
