Re: YOUR DAILY EXPLOITS!

I finally got a job! Nearly one year since I graduated and got my fancy diploma, I will finally be able to start my career. Now, if only the hiring manager wasn't so goddamn slow with the job offer letter...

Re: Thaumology & Psyonics, a comparison [OOU]

In what way? The supposed mechanism? I was inspired by a layman's understanding of twistor theory , which I first encountered in a book I read during a time when I was trying really hard to try and grok some of the ideas that theoretical physicists play with. I'm almost certainly not even wrong in ...

Re: Thaumology & Psyonics, a comparison [OOU]

I get a CthulhuTech vibe from how thaumology works; was that your intention with thaumology? It's an interesting system, though psyonics does sound rather convoluted as of right now. The OOU style is fine, though I tend to avoid those styles personally.

Re: Novi Mundi: 2100 roll-call thread

As much fun as this game is, I think I'm gonna have to bow out. There are other priorities going on in my life right now, and I've also been neglecting various worldbuilding project I have in mind. Perhaps I'll be able to contribute more once the new game rolls out.

Re: YOUR DAILY EXPLOITS!

Well, well, well, I managed to get two interviews in the span of the past two weeks for some very nice jobs. Funny enough, one of those interviews was for a company that previously interviewed me three(!) times for a job that was the exact same one I was recently contacted about. In the end, I didn'...

Re: The Dwellers of the Abyss, AKA Abyssian Dwellers

I like the potential solution to the Fermi Paradox. In my current worldbuilding phase I dealt with the paradox with similar rationalizations, among other things. I have a question, though. The article mentions that Dweller nanotech is passed along to successive generations. Does this mean that its p...

Re: YOUR DAILY EXPLOITS!

Man, it's a bit weird to be contacted on Facebook by an old girlfriend. I mean, we parted ways up amicably and I still wear a silver ring she gave me on my right middle finger, but apparently after all this time it turns out she now has a female partner and is a lesbian. I can't help but wonder if ...

I'm trying to come up with a name for a bunch of transgalactic, starship-living, hardcore transhuman nomads, but I can't think of any. All I know is that the formal name of their alliance of fleets would have the word 'diaspora' in it. I love the sound of Alistair Reynolds Ultranauts, and I would de...

I don't know exactly how I want to set up this whole "Red America" thing, but I kind of like the idea of an at least somewhat democratic government with two parties, but instead of our economic center-rightish and right parties it's a communist party and a left-leaning socialist party. Co...
