Re: Sovereigns of the Stars Supreme, revisited
As to the USS political system, I did briefly speculate on MSN that such a cyberdemocratic system is vulnerable to sudden memes and fashions driving people to turn out and vote for crazy things in numbers that completely overwhelm the usual bunch of hardcore electors, upsetting the political proces...

Re: Sovereigns of the Stars Supreme, revisited
Maybe their terminology for their 'nations' won't be 'Republics' or 'Empire' or whatnot, but just 'People'. So one sub-faction can be the "Tooramal People" and another can be the so-and-so People. The Zigonian terminology for 'state' is probably more like 'A bunch of dudes and dudettes li...

Re: Sovereigns of the Stars Supreme, revisited
I also loved the colorful diversity of the USS in SDNW4, and seeing SotS reborn would be a great joy. The idea of a more nuanced and yet fantastical version of SotS, however, is what intrigues me the most, as it has the potential for some great world building.

Re: Art Thread (Concerns)
As to why it's armed so, the edges of known space after the colonisation of the Solar system but before the construction of wormhole networks, although lacking in hostile alien empires in the typical sense, were nonetheless wild and remote. Such a vessel may be the only significant armed force with...

Re: Art Thread (Concerns)
For the cost of a minimal loss of volume, I suppose one could have resupply corridors running through the fuel tanks to the turrets? I guess you could do that if you really wanted to, though it seems rather convoluted to me. The Great Solar War was a conflict occurring no earlier than the 23rd cent...

Re: Art Thread (Concerns)
Wouldn't the guns mounted on the fuel tanks be really awkward to reload what with all the fuel getting in the way? As for the infantry load out, I'm assuming that uploading your soldiers into giant, synthetic killbots isn't the popular thing to do, hence the integration between the soldier and armor...

Just so you know, and don't take this offensively, but in the past(?) we had a member who kept making the same world-building premise over and over and over again. It would either be something with the Byzantium, the Kaiser's Reich or anything with GERMANIANS!, and it would usually include Warhamme...

Yup, this is definitely your shtick, and its fantastical nature works really well. I'm especially interested in the worldbuilding, though the story itself would be a good read as well.

Hey! I haven't heard anything from you in ages. It's good to see you back in the swing of things. As for me, I've felt my creative juices collecting once more, which have been begging me to apply them to my newest project. Of course, I should have applied them to my SecSan instead...

Wait, now I'm totally confused. Does this mean I'm pretty much shit out of luck with regards to playing out my actions?
EDIT: I think I don't actually get to officially jump in yet until Wednesday due to entering mid turn. Never mind.
