Re: REWORK
SInce I'm using this little reboot to reformat TEG, I guess I can use it to clean up some details that I don't really like anymore in my creations (e.g. some of Supersoldier's more absurd uses of his nanites).

The Empire Always Strikes Back
The Empire Always Strikes Back An Eternal Game Short Captain Gabrielle Chevalier could already tell that this was going to be one of those days. The minute she heard from her superiors that her unit was going after the Laughing Man, the same entity that masterminded the destruction of a whole ringw...

Its nice to see that you're reviving this idea, Ford. I'd personally like to see more of it.

Superluminal Travel
Superluminal Travel The universe is truly a vast place. Empires and nation-states, ranging in size from the tens of millions of star systems that a Great Power can control to the hundred systems that belong to a small, young interstellar power, have spread themselves all across the width and breadt...

Re: Official Movie Review Thread
I just came back from watching Indiana Jones , and I have to say it was pretty good. While it can't beat out Raiders of the Lost Ark (what could, anyways?), it is still a good addition to the saga. If I had to nitpick about something, then it would be the alien connection, which felt... off for some...

Re: The Eras
You better believe it. My first priority right now is getting TEG back up, and to take advantage of the clean slate I have to clean up some things that've been bothering me. Once most of the stuff is back up, I'll revist The Eras and bring it back up to the current era, which means that I'll be touc...

Re: Art Thread (Concerns)
Hmm, I want to say it looks like Judge Dredd's super pistol, but the fact that Ford could recognize it in 10 seconds makes me agree with Siege that it probably belongs to some sort of obscure anime series of some sort.

Re: The Eras
For anyone who's interested, I've updated the first two entries in The Eras to better reflect the changes that have occured in TEG since they were written. They're not really that big or important, but I'm letting you guys know just in case your curious.

Re: The Eras
The Age of Terran Star Imperialism (2210-2600 C.E.) One of the most pressing questions during the late 22nd century was whether or not a form of Faster-Than-Light travel was possible. As the Sol system became more and more crowded, the dream of being able to carve out a colonial empire from whole s...

The Eras
The Return of the Empires (2050-2210 C.E.) The twenty-first century saw many crucial advances and events that would ultimately come to give rise to the human empires that would make them known throughout the Milky Way and beyond. Chief among these would be the breaking down of multi-national organi...

Human Polities
Great Powers The great powers are those human polities that managed to successfully establish strong interstellar empires after the development of the subspace warp drive in the mid twenty third century. To be more specific, a human great power is one that is capable of pan/intergalactic power proj...

Re: {General} Mad ideas
Since Kamin brought it up, have we actually established anything about how Hell works besides the fact that they would like to invade and kill us all? I was thinking about having Hell fractured into a number of kingdoms (or the supernatural equivilant at least) that are occasionally united by a stro...

A lot of the regulars simply use MSN messenger when we want to talk- it seems to work best. I never seem to be able to find anyone when I'm on,...

Re: The Universe Index
The Eternal Game Set within the 69th Century, The Eternal Game is a universe where Man does not set out to explore the galaxy united in some sort of united Earth government or organization, but rather sets out in its grand campaign of stellar conquest balkanized, and prospers immensely from it. The...

Re: Best Star Trek opening?!
One of the images that stood out for me was this one: http://www.ottens.co.uk/forgottentrek/images/trekonline/Mainturbolift.jpg What I like about this is it shows the ship really as being a kind of city in space - which is probably far more realistic for an explorer than all the bullshit military n...

Re: Best Star Trek opening?!
For me it's TOS and the TNG openings. DS9 was alright, while Voyager was utterly imbellic (mostly because I got tired of hearing the same damn concept again and again). Enterprise got the hint by switching around the theme, but it didn't help them that they chose a real piece of shit for their theme...
