Re: Interesting Link and Content Thread
It's full of the usual poorly-research bullshit, though. And no pass for this one because it's not played for humor. For one thing, that whole "transmissions from dying cosmonauts" thing was proven crap years ago. Especially the one that says they heard the cosmonaut say he sees flame. Rad...

Re: YOUR DAILY EXPLOITS!
All I need to do is read manuscripts and make grammar corrections all day. Basically, it's just a part of what I did when assigned to teach English, but expanded into a full-time job. I'm also planning to tutor some rich kids during my free time so I can still teach in some way (which also means ext...

Re: YOUR DAILY EXPLOITS!
I have sold out. I got a job offer for a copyediting gig at an international publishing company and decided to take it since it offered higher pay than all of the teaching positions I've been offered. I'd like to go back to teaching someday, but with finances tight at home I feel like contributing m...

Re: [General]The Return of CHARACTER CONCEPTS
This may also well mean that Princesses might not die when they get killed. Through their constant psychic connection with the rest of their species, it is conceivable that their souls can be secreted away at the last moment and preserved. Which could add an extra dimension of horror to my suggesti...

Re: [General]The Return of CHARACTER CONCEPTS
The special chosen (BORN TO BE QUEENS!) Princesses of the Universe being the ones who do the whole music of the spheres thing is cool. Everyone of their species being able to do this, not so. Unless the "normal" members of their species can only do so in a very limited fashion, like perce...

Re: [General]The Return of CHARACTER CONCEPTS
Well, maybe you could go with some sort of "visual" analog for their reality bending. For Justinian, I made it so that he'd perceive reality as threads of time-space which he pulls out and weaves into his little tesseracts. However, this is only how he sees things and it may not be how oth...

Re: [General]The Return of CHARACTER CONCEPTS
Moonbeam's reality-bending powers leave all sorts of horrific ways for her to die. Like, say, if the British Army made her over-tax her power to the point that the time-space around her completely fell apart. The place of her death could be some place of permanently twisted space-time, with an appea...

For added irony points, she should be named Matriarch Equanimous (meaning in full-control of self; not easily disturbed by external influence).

Re: [General]The Return of CHARACTER CONCEPTS
While that is pretty awesome, I envision the armor as something like the final armor Tony Stark wore in Ironman 2. Escept with a hussar-ish feel. And, well, his bike is made with a sort of stylized armored horse theme.

Re: [General]The Return of CHARACTER CONCEPTS
@Vic: Well, character explanation is that it's a "fuck you" at that "stupid Polish cavalry tried to charge armored vehicles" bit of Nazi propaganda that some have taken as true and sometimes conflate with hussars, which would infuriate an avowed hussar fanboy like him. Mostly, th...

Re: [General]The Return of CHARACTER CONCEPTS
Just a barely-formed idea I'm not even sure I'll pursue. No real ideas on background and motivation and whatnot, but I've a few ideas on the physical details at least. The Hussar > Wears powered armored with a look that resembles a stylized version of a 17th Century winged hussar's armor. The wings ...

Siege, you mad and ridiculously awesome tank!
I mean, man, this is pretty much a ley point of Comix influence. There's a little of something from everyone, and in a unique insane combo that makes it a perfect setting for pretty much anything.

Re: Art Thread (Concerns)
This was an idea me and my cousin hatched a long time ago when we were discussing that whole smelling-the-other-person-thing that stories use for romance but actually comes off as pretty hilariously creepy. Naturally, we decided to poke fun of that, and we figured that Bells and Pockets would make t...

You are no Liefeld. :) I could be if I wanted to. Oh, wait, I couldn't do his facial constipation lines properly... Man, Mal, your school has a pretty cute uniform. My students disagree. Re: Art Thread (Concerns)
Teachers can contribute something to my school's yearbook, so I threw this together as my contribution. It's nothing special. Just the school logo--as you can see it's a Christian school that was founded in 1997--and some random characters wearing the school's uniforms. I may or may not come up with...

Hrm... well, aside from the more obvious tourist spots, what kind of places is he interested in? For natural stuff, there's Olango Island (about 5km east of Mactan) which has a Wildlife Sanctuary that's a major migration spot for birds from the American East Coast, Japan, and (appropriately enough) ...

What happeneds? And how did he enjoy the proletarian duck fetus?
See, this is why I hate how busy I get towards the end of a school year making tests. I end up missing stuff like this.
