The official Infrared theme song. Seriously, every single lyric in this song just screams Infra.

Acid Bath - Paegan Love Song

Dying felt so goddamn good today
If I was ever alive, well, it's hard to say
It was kissing my eyelids and burning my face away
Dying felt so goddamn good today

We dance the electric Pagan Love Song
We hunt with the children paling in the catacombs

Eating dead flowers bleeding in a strange daze
I was cutting throats and eating tears
Smiling in a ruined age
Douse my love everything with gasoline
Grave flower blooms at your red light death scene

We dance the electric Pagan Love Song
We hunt with the children paling in the catacombs

Trippin' on real blood in strange sunshine
Have you felt such weight upon your eyes
Sister I been trippin' in your sky
I woke up adrift in a Technicolor bliss
Ten million miles high
I'm a Christian zombie by daylight
Satan, he come trippin' 'round midnight
Circle jerkin' redneck truckers' dream
You scream, I scream
Everybody screams for morphine
I won't love you, mama, I just fiend
your morphine... your morphine
We send, the love, to the skull

I am the mother, the father, the killer
Forever and ever all right
I am the shapeless, the deathless, remorseless
Forever and ever tonight
I'm feelin' hollow again
I am the mother, the father, the killer of light
I'm gonna cut you motherfucker, God's cocksucker
all right

This is one of my fave songs from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and I think it fits the weirder places on Comix:

BRAINS! - Voltaire

Well hello there little boy.
Now don't be shy.
Step right up, I'm a reasonable guy.
Don't be frightened by the look in my eye.
I'm just your average evil meteor from outta the sky.
Well, I'm just a little shy and scared in this place
I'm just a fish outta water from outer space
You can see that the trip has left me tired and drained
So why don't you be a pal...

And bring me some BRAINS!
Go down to your neighbor's place
See the dull expression on his face
you'd be doing him a favor if you brought him to me
He's not using his brain he's just watching TV!
Go down to Mr. McGee's
He hasn't had a thought since '43.
His brain is the portrait of atrophy.
He ain't using it, why not give it to me?

BRAINS, BRAINS, I won't lie,
I'll drink their (her) brains 'til they're zombified.
Sure she might think it's deranged
But she won't give it a thought
Once I've eaten her brain.
BRAINS, BRAINS, It's okay.
It's not a matter if it isn't gray,
And if at first she thinks it's strange,
shewon't think twice
If she don't have a brain!

Go down to the Wonton shop,
My fortune cookie says that I just can't stop
I'll suck the noodle right out of their heads
And half an hour later, I'm hungry again!
Creep into the donut shop
Sneak in tip-toe past the cop.
Pick me up a cruller and a cupful of tea.
And any other sweetbrains you happen to see.

Brains, Brains, I love em, I need um...
My tummy jumps for joy when I eat um.
Big ones, fat ones, short ones, tall ones,
They're so delectable, especially the small ones.
No time to cook em in a skillet.
My belly's rumblin', I got a need to fill it.
I don't fry em, the heat will only shrink em,
i'll just grab my self a straw and drink em!!!

Now you've been swell to go around
And bring me every single brain in town
But with all these brains, I can't help but think
That there isn't one left out there to drink.
Fess up boy, come on, Heck!
Is there someone that you're trying to protect?
Bring her down here to meet her end
And I promise I'll be your bestest friend.

BRAINS.....
Bring me her Brains.....
BRING ME HER BRAINS!!!!!!!!
Mwahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

So, I suspect that I've found the theme for Wayne Banner/The Crow. No, not Asshole. No, this one is both audio and visual, as this video probably quite accurately represents Wayne's decaying sense of reality and increasing sense of isolation, loss of identity and psycho-mania. Oh yeah, and also because it's quite probably that Wayne believes he actually does see giant naked albino whores, thousands of identical orphan whores who turn people into orange juice and prominent religious/sexual symbolism mixed into his madness.

Komm, susser Tod (Come, Sweet Death)

However, there's a second version of this that I want to add in. While for the most part Wayne embraces his instability and madness, and is barely even aware of it, there's still that little voice of reason, conscience and sanity that occasionally emerges, which was something that many of you noticed in A Special Day. So, for that little part of Wayne that wishes everything could be normal and regular, this suitably moving arrangement of exactly the same song.

I know, I know I've let you down
I've been a fool to myself
I thought that I could live for no one else
But now through all the hurt and pain
It's time for me to respect
The ones you love mean more than anything

So, with sadness in my heart
Feel the best thing that I could do
Is end it all and leave forever
What's done is done it feels so bad
What once was happy now is sad
I'll never love again
My world is ending

I wish that I could turn back time
Cos now the guilt is all mine
Can't live without
The trust from those you love
I know we can't forget the past
You can't forget love and pride
Because of that, it's killing me inside

It all returns to nothing
It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down
It all returns to nothing
I just keep letting me down, letting me down, letting me down

In my heart of hearts
I know that I could never love again
I've lost everything, everything
Everything that matters to me
Matters in this world

I wish that I could turn back time
Cos now the guilt is all mine
Can't live without the trust from those you love
I know we can't forget the past
You can't forget love and pride
Because of that, it's killing me inside

It all returns to nothing
It just keeps tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down
It all returns to nothing
I just keep letting me down, letting me down, letting me down
It all returns to nothing
It just keeps tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down
It all returns to nothing
I just keep letting me down, letting me down, letting me down

This may not entirely fit, and the images in the music video and some of the lyrics are highly evocative of the USA's adventures in the Middle East for the past few years, but the lyrics really had me thinking of Paul von Austerlitz.

Hammerhead - The Offspring

I am the one,
Camouflage and guns,
Risk my life
To keep my people from harm

Authority,
Vested in me
I sacrifice
With my brothers in arms

Through this doorway,
What's on the other side?
Never knowing
Exactly what I'll find
Locked and loaded
Voices screaming
Let's go!
Come on do it!
Here we go

I'll take a life
That others may live
Oh that's just the way it goes
I'll shut my eyes
It hammers in my head
Where it'll end
Nobody knows

I'll take a life
That others may live
Oh that's just the way it goes
It's playing over and over in my head
Where it'll end
Nobody knows

Stay the course
Reasonable force
I believe I serve a greater good

Smoke and dust
Enemies are crushed
Nothing left
Where a man once stood

Through this doorway,
What's on the other side?
Never knowing
Exactly what I'll find
Locked and loaded,
Voices screaming
Let's go
I'm just doing what I'm told

I'll take a life
That others may live
Oh that's just the way it goes
Shut my eyes
It hammers in my head
Where it'll end
Nobody knows

I'll take this life
Ten others may live
Oh that's just the way it goes
It's playing over and over in my head
Where it begins
And where it'll end
Nobody knows

Bang, bang, It hammers in my head!
Bang, bang, It hammers in my head!
Bang, bang, It hammers in my head!
In my head
In my head

You know I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for Thou art with me

Locked and loaded
Gonna find my truth now
I'm busting through
All hell breaks loose

And you can all hide behind your desks now
And you can cry 'teacher come help me!'
Through you all
My aim is true!

My aim is true!
My aim is true!

Ace Combat Zero - Prologue

It's just really catchy. It's got a 'freedomy' tune, yet also has a relaxed thinggy... with synthesizers and hints of guitar!

The song is in ACZ' prologue part, where the narrator tells us about the history of the Belkan War. I guess we could have this song as part of the narration of OZC, discoursing past heroisms as well as the bad bits. Or something.

It sounds good.

I immediately thought of this one when I read the profile for Colonel Crimson:

Motörhead - Orgasmatron

I am the one, Orgasmatron, the outstretched grasping hand
My image is of agony, my servants rape the land
Obsequious and arrogant, clandestine and vain
Two thousand years of misery, of torture in my name
Hypocrisy made paramount, paranoia the law
My name is called religion, sadistic, sacred whore.

I twist the truth, I rule the world, my crown is called deceit
I am the emperor of lies, you grovel at my feet
I rob you and I slaughter you, your downfall is my gain
And still you play the sycophant and revel in you pain
And all my promises are lies, all my love is hate
I am the politician, and I decide your fate

I march before a martyred world, an army for the fight
I speak of great heroic days, of victory and might
I hold a banner drenched in blood, I urge you to be brave
I lead you to your destiny, I lead you to your grave
Your bones will build my palaces, your eyes will stud my crown
For I am Mars, the god of war, and I will cut you down.

You know, this thread really isn't a 'soundtrack'. It's just a pointless list of songs that people think fit with certain characters for reasons existing entirely within the realm of personal taste. There's no red thread, no direction, no theme, not even a single musical genre (no matter how broadly defined) that unifies all of them. There's nothing that ties this random collection of lyrics and youtube-links together.

In order for a list of songs to form an actual soundtrack there should be some unifying musical characteristic (beyond a reaction along the lines of "omg this totally fits" on the part of the poster) that ties them together. Whether that theme is 'the songs should be about superheroes/superheroics' or 'the songs should all be rock/metal/classical music' or something else entirely doesn't really matter, but at least there should be some degree of coherency involved.

I did have a couple of old bits that I put up for the original thread, such as Seven Nation Army and Kryptonite. Would those seem to canvas the general theme of supers and the like? I ask because, I was thinking of paying this thread a visit.

Behold:

Raccoon - The Hero is in Town

You read about it in the paper
You hear about it on the news
The hero's in town
You never know who called him
And there's nothing you can do
The hero's in town
Flying overhead,
and he's fixing things as new
The hero's in town
People worship on a daily basis
Before dinner in the afternoon
The hero's in town,
yeah the hero's in town

Sure come in handy,
a hero in town
He's offering candy to everyone
Oh what a guy
You better sleep with a gun
The hero is in town

So look up at the sky my friend
Is it safe enough to go out there
The hero's in town
So should we trust or loathe him
Should we break or take his hand
The hero's in town
He's leaning on his golden cane
He gives away free hurricanes
The hero's in town
For god and money devil's fight
Religion holds a beast inside
The hero's in town
Yeah The hero's in town

Sure come in handy,
a hero in town
He's offering candy to everyone
What good are heroes in this mixed up world
Load us up another free, free world
Free world
Load us up another free, free world
Free world

Monkey see, monkey do
Monkey wants so it comes straight through
Small talk travels quicker
than the truth can tie its shoes

Sure come in handy,
a hero in town
He's offering candy to everyone
Oh what a guy
You better sleep with a gun
'Cause the hero is in for money
He's in for money

Taken from the animated movie Anastasia, this song fits for most mystically-oriented villains:

In the dark of the night I was tossing and turning
And the nightmare I had was as bad as can be --
It scared me out of my wits --
A corpse falling to bits!
Then I opened my eyes
And the nightmare was...me!!

I was once the most mystical man in all Russia.
When the royals betrayed me they mad a mistake!
My curse made each of them pay
But one little girl got away!
Little Anya, beware,
Rasputin's awake!

In the dark of the night evil will find her
In the dark of the night just before dawn!
Aah...

Revenge will be sweet
When the curse is complete!

In the dark of the night
She'll be gone!

I can feel that my powers are slowly returning!
Tie my sash and a dash of cologne for that smell!
AS the pieces fall into place
I'll see her crawl into place!
Dasvidanya, Anya, your grace, farewell!

In the dark of the night terror will strike her!

Terror's the least I can do!

In the dark of the night evil will brew.
Ooh!

Soon she will feel that her nightmares are real.

In the dark of the night

She'll be through!

In the dark of the night
Evil will find her
Find her!
Ooh!
In the dark of the night terror comes true.
Doom her!

My dear, here's a sign --

It's the end of the line!

In the dark of the night...
In the dark of the night...
In the dark of the night...

Come my minions,
Rise for your master,
Let your evil shine!
Find her now,
Yes, fly ever faster

In the dark of the night...
In the dark of the night...
In the dark of the night...

She'll be mine!

Possibly by posting this I usher in the silliness singularity, after which point the silliness of suggestions will increase exponentially defying all prediction.

But on the other hand it is thematically appropriate.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc1am3KyYgA

Also and much more predictably, this, on the theme of superheroes, since someone already mentioned Kryptonite.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADzy88f9mwg

And finally, while this might be a return to what Siege complained about earlier on in terms of song choice, this is, I think, a very appropriate song for angry, intelligent but semi-sympathetic villains like Austerlitz. The video is an AMV for an animu called Code Geass, just so's you know if you have a moral objection to animus and bishie supervillains.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLzwWWGDEWk

EDIT:Incidentally, I didn't pick this because any of the lyrics specifically fit Austerlitz, or indeed anyone else in Comix, but the overall effect of the lyrics; the bitterness, the taunting and baiting of the enemy, the manic, messianic impression, seem to fit.
