Gentlemen,

I'll be in Berlin from Saturday 'till Wednesday, and thus out of the loop until Thursday. Until my return the Regional Governors have direct control over their territories.

Gentlemen,

I'll be in Poland from Thursday 'till Tuesday, and thus out of the loop until Wednesday. In my absence might I suggest you do not exasperate the regional governors overly much, lest you find their definition of troubleshooting to be awfully literal.

My right-honourable friends.

I am going to be taking an indefinite leave of absence as I wish to concentrate my formidable mental powers on a few things developing in my life which I don't think will leave much room for my shenanigans on here. I'm afraid I will not be posting or reading here until I either achieve the success of my dreams or develope better time management skills, whichever comes first.

My apologies for the melodrama, but I thought I ought to give a bit of notice just in case anyone thought I had died.

Holy crap, I almost forgot about this place. Did ya miss me?

I've still been working on my universe, but over the past year or two my focus has changed somewhat. I've been filling in some gaps in future history, I'm no longer afraid to stand on the soapbox a bit, and I've also decided on a different name: Nova Mundi!

Since the stuff here is mainly focused on far-future stuff, it shouldn't be too difficult to stitch the two together. I just wish my Decade 13 stuff was still around, because my old computer packed in and I have been unable to retrieve my copious files and notes. I'm hoping one day to take my old HD to a data recovery specialist. Thankfully I have been making hardcopy notes in addition to my online storage options.

I'm back!

Whoa, hey man. Good to have you back, and looking forward to what you've cooked up!

If there's anything specific you want to retrieve from your old 'verse I can search by keyword in the old forum database I have sitting on my HD.

Yay, my favorite worldbuilder is back!

Looking over your Nova Mundi stuff, I have to say that it's pretty awesome, if somewhat blunt regarding its ideology (I guess that's the charm). It also reminds me of my current work in some aspects, namely the very heavy transhumanist bent, singularity-like ideas, and far-future universal exploration. I look forward to seeing how you play around with the concept.

If you can find any of my Decade 13 stuff I would be very grateful.

EDIT: A keyword you can try is "blue dwarf" - I remember one of the topics had that as an entry.

As much as I'd like to steam ahead with more ADVENT REY, I'll be off the grid for the next seven days for a vacation behind the Great Firewall. See you until then.

Gentlemen,

On Monday I depart for Temple Prime Sarajevo, where I shall vacation until Wednesday the 1st of August. I'll have internet access but, you know, I'm not planning on being online much.

On iPad right now. Laptop is in a critical condition and I'm trying to fix it at the moment. Won't be posting long posts for a while.

Disregard that long absence notice. I discovered that I could simply boot in Safe Mode with Networking. So now I can surf the net while fixing it ghetto style!

While my original computer is still in doom mode, I am borrowing a relative's pink laptop to go on the internet, so I'm technically back now.

I'll be in Belgium for a Leonard Cohen concert all weekend, so probably incommunicado 'till Sunday night.

^Me too, I trust it was fantastic.

I know I haven't been posting much anyway, so again apologies for the melodrama, but I am going to be staying off the board completely until sometime in the new year, hopefully this means I will not use lurking here and contemplating posts I won't make as a way of distracting myself, and I won't make pointless 1-note posts that just clog up the forum like...

Anyway

Fare thee well

Gentlemen,

I'll be in Rome from the 22nd through to the 26th of October, so Monday 'till Friday. Until then... Oh you know, regional governors and all that jazz. Don't break nothing while I'm gone!

RAAARRRGGHHH!!

I failed once again on my NaNoWriMo. I learned that I must plan my novels even earlier and read more books. And not download an emulator for a game while I'm doing so.

And play Dungeons and Dragons.

And worry too much about the current state of the novel.

And...

Anyway, I'm back, so I'll be focusing on Omniverse One again. I now have a better appreciation for my other unfinished works. I'll probably come back to them soon.

But first, a review needs to be written!

Gentlemen,

I'll be in Berlin for the weekend, and thus unavailable for comment. It's not exactly a 'long absence' but hey, the more you know!

Phew. Suppose this counts as a record for Longest Absence?
I know it’s a mess and it’s half-taped together and it’s old and busted — but it’s mine. And you gotta make that work, right? You gotta make your own stuff work out.
