So I went to donate some blood again today (third time I've done it now)

And the first time they put the needle in they didn't get any blood out! I guess I didn't drink enough beforehand or something, my blood was too thick and not watery enough or not under enough pressure or something to flow freely down the tube into the bag.

They had me go and drink about six cups of water and orange juice and then they tried again with the other arm and it worked then.

It wasn't so bad, only thing was when they were trying to get my blood the first time the blood-drawer person adjusted the needle a couple of time cause I guess she thought she didn't get the vein or something and that didn't feel good.

I didn't say anything but inside I was like OW! OW! is it in yet? I don't remember it hurting this much the last times what is going on over there?

So a drunk rich kid decides to zoom around after an all-night drinking spree in his Toyota MR2.

He crashes into the delivery van parked outside the main branch of my parents' small local fast food chain, causing it to slam into and break most of entire front facade.

So now the main branch, which shoulders most business during the lean (most of the other branches are around or in schools) and just-starting school summer months, now has to be shut down for weeks. And we're still just barely keeping up with payments as it is.

Fuck spoiled rich kids and their toys.

Lola Inda Pancit Palabok.

And it turns out that the restaurant's damage will be repaired within the week after all since my Dad managed to call a favor from a friend who knows some carpenters, but it'll still take around fifty thousand for repairs and labor (not to mention the lost revenue). It's our delivery truck that's gonna need three to four weeks in the body shop and over 130,000 pesos to repair.

We managed to negotiate with the insurance of the family of the driver, though, so at least we're not shouldering all that cash. As for the kid--Ford Vergara if I recall correctly--he's ended up hospitalizing himself. That car was going FAST.

I shall go to one of your branches for noodels.

In TEO when I said that "if i wanted to see this amount of fat, i'd go whale watching", I didn't mean to be quite so literal.

I thought at first "Basking shark" but a little research on Wikipedia tells me otherwise.

---

Man, it's a bit weird to be contacted on Facebook by an old girlfriend. I mean, we parted ways up amicably and I still wear a silver ring she gave me on my right middle finger, but apparently after all this time it turns out she now has a female partner and is a lesbian. I can't help but wonder if I am attracted to women who later realise they like other women. What doesn't help things is I think I still have feelings for her, but that's obviously not happening, it seems.

Also, I have a new neighbour. I hope they don't cause a whole bunch of trouble like the previous idiot. It does nothing for my peace of mind to have cops bashing on my neighbour's door at stupid hours of the day.

Well, sexuality is a spectrum, so I doubt she's a 100% lesbian, but it's most likely for the best to leave it at that. No need to potentially screw up what appears to be a friendship and a amicable breakup by bringing up old issues. As for your concern, I would imagine that would only be a possibility if you have a history of dating women that later turn out/were bisexual or lesbians. Do you?

I suppose not. It would be nice to see her again though, since it's been a good few years at least since we last met.

Some idiot just got himself pretty much rammed off the road a couple meters in front of me on the way back from work. Ahead one of the two lanes was closed for road works, so traffic pretty had much ground to a halt in the middle of an intersection. I was in the right lane. There was a van in front of my car, and its driver had courteously left a gap between his vehicle so that people coming in from the right could cross ahead of him and proceed onward into the other direction. Cue one dumbass thinking he could make up thirty seconds by plunging his Toyota Aygo or Peugeot 107 or whatever horrid little eco-box it was he was driving into that gap.

Unfortunately he chose to do so at the same time time a Mercedes van made use of that space to attempt to cross our two lanes. I had just enough time to see them coming and think "this isn't going to end well". Turns out that when a Mercedes hits one of those little plastic toy cars, the Mercedes doesn't really show any damage but the tiny car gets most of its front bumper sheared clean off. The toy box driver should count his lucky stars the crash happened in the middle of a gridlock and that he didn't t-boned. Freaking idiot. I can't stand nutjobs that can't think ahead in traffic.

Well, well, well, I managed to get two interviews in the span of the past two weeks for some very nice jobs. Funny enough, one of those interviews was for a company that previously interviewed me three(!) times for a job that was the exact same one I was recently contacted about. In the end, I didn't get that job not because someone beat it out for it (I was bluntly told I was on the top of the list), but because their management ended up not filling the position at all (something about changing job parameters). The interview for said job went great, so now it's just a matter of time to see if I got it or not. And if I don't, hey, I still got another great job I'm interviewing for.

So today I registered as an organ donor. I'm not going to be needing them, so I think it's the decent thing to do.

Good move, well done. More people ought to register.

I finally got a job! Nearly one year since I graduated and got my fancy diploma, I will finally be able to start my career. Now, if only the hiring manager wasn't so goddamn slow with the job offer letter...

So yesterday I made my uncle choose what he could take home, my Toyota GT Starlet or this pickup truck with a worn down wheel. Naturally he picked the Starlet and so later I had test my luck with the pickup.
Image
It started off as like that.

And ended up as like this:
Image

Image
It happened very close to the workplace, so I pulled over at a sidewalk, asked dad for instructions, and just ran on the flat tire back to the workplace so I could park it someplace safe. And we just laughed at the whole experience since apparently my dad thought it "built character" or something, so if ever this shit happened again unexpectedly (as opposed to me fully expecting the possibility of a tire exploding), I would know what to do or something.

It's like something out of a GI JOE thing. Knowing is half the battle!

I'm looking for a place to live in Lichfield or easily commutable to there. Cos I has industrial placement for a year. Year of work. Six months of dissertation. Maybe times will not be so hard by the time I'm out of education again?
