MILITARY UNITS
Cost of upkeep is = total military Cost in energy divided by four. The following are stats for one unit each of:
AIR FORCE
Interceptors -
At: 8
Df: 6
Mv: Turboprop (half Cost, slower) / Jet+afterburner / Nuclear scramjet (*doubles Cost, +2 Attack bonus vs spacecraft in atmosphere and LEO)
Cost: 4e+4r
Transport Plane -
At: 4
Df: 6
Mv: Turboprop (halves Cost, slower) / Turbofan / Nuclear scramjet (doubles Cost, enables global sub-orbital strike capability)
Cost: 4e+4r
Notes: Can carry up to 25 infantry-sized units OR 10 vehicular units
Multi-Role Fighter-Bomber -
At: 16
Df: 8
Mv: Jet+afterburner / Nuclear scramjet (add 4e+4r to Cost, +2 Attack bonus vs spacecraft as above)
Cost: 8e+8r
Ground Attack Craft -
At: 10 (+6 vs ground targets)
Df: 12
Mv: Turboprop (half Cost, reduced range) / Turbofan
Cost: 6e+6r
Strategic Bomber -
At: 20
Df: 8
Mv: Turboprop (halves Cost, slower) / Turbofan / Nuclear scramjet (doubles Cost, enables global sub-orbital strike capability)
Cost: 10e+10r
Combat Airship -
At: 25
Df: 16
Mv: Turboprop
Cost: 12e+12r
Carrier Airship
At: 10
Df: 16
Mv: Turboprop
Cost: 12e+12r
Notes: Can support up to 5 large aircraft and 25 smaller aircraft

Will the Combat Airships be equipped with the runways I see in the models, by any chance, for aerial deployment...IN THE AIR?

Yeah, I was thinking of adding an upgrade that enabled airships to carry a number of smaller aircraft.Heretic wrote:Will the Combat Airships be equipped with the runways I see in the models, by any chance, for aerial deployment...IN THE AIR?
Re: 22nd Century military units (Air Force)
Split the Airship unit into Combat and Carrier versions, finally. I'm thinking of adding at least one more class of airship, perhaps a smaller, faster version that represents one of the proposed designs I've seen for airships that combine features from heavier-than-air craft.
