Hey guys, I want to see what can come out of this. It is an experiment and a game at the same time, but the end result is a collaborative universe that can be wacky and cool. Nothing has to be too long or fleshed out (for other posters can add upon your stuff after you).

Man's homeplanet is on Planet Dirty. It rains constantly on Planet Dirty, and much of the continents are composed of mud. Giant earthworms roam the world, burrowing large holes into the planet creating a complex cavernous system.
Man lives on the rainy surface of Planet Dirty, ruling from great giant mud huts of lore. While in the worm-caverns, there is a subspecies of Man called the Mang. The Mangs are subterranean slaves and wormfood.

There are martians who live on mars. Their primary entertainment consists of imagery from their telescopes, which photograph the misery of the people of planet Dirty. Their staple diet is mars bars.
Both worlds are watched over by the sun, which was genetically engineered and given life by the master race. The sun is often in good demeanor, sporting a smile when the day is bright, but should his temperament rise then his rage shall be felt in the boiling of oceans. Thus to the primitive peoples of Planet Dirty, he is worshipped. But to Mars, the sun is the greatest enemy of their people.

The SSS, S3, 3S, Sx3, or Stellar Shipping Society is a multi-planetary shipping network in charge of the interplanetary shipping rounds that has its domains in the Sol System (home system of Dirty). Their main focus and hot commodity, among other things, are the Mars Bars produced on Dirty and shipped to Mars for the Martians to enjoy. Because on Mars, Chocolate is to Martians as Gold is to Man and Mang.
Tax Pirates. These disgruntled former government workers are the bane of the SSS and try to enforce through force of arms, taxes against Free trade, assaulting the Dirty/Mars trade route with fast spaceskiffs based in the asteroid belt.
The Sun Flarites are energetic beings, sentient plasma of whom are birthed upon the Sun, separated and given form through massive electromagnetic waves that pulsate through the core and crust of the Sun, and launched into space to wreck havok upon the planetary bodies they reach or the ships that they cross paths with. These are great enemies of Mars, for with their intense heat they melt (often by accident) the prized chocolate stores of the Martians.
To defend their Mars Bars from the depravities of the cackling Sun Flarites and to shield themselves from the grinning visage of the Sun itself, the Martians constructed a series of massive orbital mirrors around Mars - positioned in geosynchronous orbit over their largest stores of chocolates. Olympus Mons, which is completely covered in chocolate, is now shaded under a giant mirror umbrella in space. The Sun, while finding it annoying that it can no longer spite the Martians, nonetheless takes consolation in that it can see its own smiling face in the Mars mirrors and admire its own pearly whites.

Asteroidlings were once all a part of a single genetically engineered sentient planet that exploded in an interstellar war between ancient beings. The planet was named Niburu and was inhabited by sapient dinosauren peoples of whom ran the planet and made sure it was a-okay. After Niburu exploded, pieces of the planet retained some of the personality of Niburu (grumpy) and thus came to be the asteroids of whom orbit the Sun.
When mining an asteroid, be careful not to step into its mouth-crater-hole or the ship will be consumed forever. Many a hungry Asteroidling utilize this trick by forming a precious stone in its mouth-cave to lure wary miners into its belly.
JoVi was a gas giant planet who was upgraded, like the sun, by the master race both to have the fusioning heart of a star and to be intelligent, like the sun. Unlike the sun, however, her visage is soft and delicate, with rosy cheeks of superheated gas and fluttering eyelashes of ten-thousand mile lightning storms. JoVi's beauty sometimes, without her/its prior knowledge, causes spaceship crews to become distracted and insane, then drive their ships into her dark, tempestuous, planet sized eyes. She/it finds this very frustrating.
Her beauty is a sad sort because she once had a love affair with the Sun but he never calls, even though she can see him and knows he isn't doing anything important.

This particular statue makes a statement that Man and Mang should coexist as equals. Designed and sculpted out of marble, the statue depicts Man and Mang with their arms around each other's backs with their fronts facing the same direction, each donning the military uniforms of their cultures. Although highly regarded by the Mang, it is regarded by Man with great dismay. However, there is a small minority of Man of whom wish to see the Mang liberated - these secret underground orders are located throughout the various caves of Planet Dirty.
The species Astroraptor piraticus is the most malicious member of a genus which was one of the few to survive the destruction of the planet Niburu, probably thanks to someone genetically engineering them before the event so as to be able to breathe in space.
They are also able to eat, drink, move, see and even hear the screams of their victims in space, for the simplest way for them to breathe in space is to either consume oxygen locked in asteroid ice or steal it from passing spaceships and the people inside them. Unfortunately for space travel enthusiasts everywhere, and especially in places with Astroraptors, they are able to move in space thanks to their magnetic wings and talons, which can also function to dismantle spaceships, allowing them access to the juicy gasses and crews inside. Also, some of them have large guns and enjoy stealing complicated equipment and shiny metals from spaceships to decorate their asteroid nests.

Ghosts are actually people whom have stepped outside of the confines of 4D space. Spirits and the like are all the same - people who have crossed over to the "other side" of hyperspace, to exist there as a timeless entity there. How to do this without "dying"? Well for one, you could let a ghost give you a hand to pull you into hyperspace, but doing so is terribly uncomfortable and not recommended (body will disappear and reappear in hyperspace). This is different from actually dying.
There are many ghosts inhabiting Planet Dirty, many of whom are able to make their presence known by quasi-solidifying their ectoplasmic composition.
Long ago the Men of Planet Dirty were constantly at war with one another, and held even less interest for civilised people than they do today. But one day a mighty chieftain emerged from among the long mud huts of his people and brought huge numbers of others under his control. He was not satisfied with this, and he used his power to summon spacecraft from Mars by writing cryptic, monolithic messages many miles long across the surface of his lands. The Martians came down and he was able to barter for their help, which allowed him to conquer the world. That man was a bastard, and Bastard became the name by which he was known, and from his day to this the rulers of Planet Dirty have named themselves, in his honour, the Great Dirty Bastard.

Pure spherical bundles of joy that may come in many different colors. They are found in the nests of asteroids nestled within broken down derelicts and ships (while they are still warm) by the cluster. Space dinosauren eggs have a high density shell, and are much sought after by many a trader and pirate for their hardiness as hulls and materials for tools and weaponry.
Among the terms of the treaty between the Martians and the first Bastard of Dirty, choice bits of especially fertile mud were ceded to Martian control for the cultivation of chocolate. Few Martians live in the Red Concessions as they find everything on Dirty to be too hot, too wet and too squishy in general for their liking, and those miserable few who do confine themselves inside great manse-consulates constructed from Martian rock and cooled by Martian ice. The work of overseeing the chocolate plantations and repelling earthworm raids are left to Man overseers.

The oppressed Mangs of planet Dirty have been the slaves of their masters, the race of Man, for centuries. There are many resentful Mangs who wish for a revolution against their oppressors, but none who pose a serious threat to the hegemony of the Bastards. There is, however, a legend among the Mangs and among those few Men who have chosen to side with them, of one Mang who could lead them to victory.
That legend is the Worm Mang of the Dirt. Some say he is not merely a Mang, but a hybrid of Mang and Man, combinging the two races in one. He is a dualistic being, for in truth he is not a he either, but a hermaphrodite, like the great worms that hollow out the catacombs of Dirty, and it is said he has a special kinship with the worms. He/She is said to live among them now, meditating and planning for the future when he will have them rise up and bring a new order to Planet Dirty.

The planet Venus is home to a sub-species of Mang, the Wo-Mang. While in theory the Wo-Mang are dedicated to the cause of Mang liberation, shipping in supplies such as powerful Worm Repellent, in fact the Queen of the Wo-Mang and the Great Dirty Bastard have a secret agreement. In exchange for the Queen providing information on the movements of rebel Mang and not giving them their most powerful weaponry, the Great Dirty Bastard provides Martian Technology and a small number of Men to be used as slaves.
Anything that can be done to a rat can be done to a human being. And we can do most anything to rats. This is a hard thing to think about, but it's the truth. It won't go away because we cover our eyes.
Half-ghost, fourth-cyberborg, and fourth-man, these are special ops secret agents of Men sent to quell threats of Mang uprising and to ensure that any potential dangerous individuals, leaders of such organizations, are captured and taken away and that they stay that way. Fighting Spectral Cybermen can be very dangerous - they phase in and out of hyperspace to "warp" to locations near-instantaneously, and with their cybernetic enhancements, are able to perform feats of superhuman strength. They are armed to the teeth with guns.
Martian Steel is one of the strangest metals in the Sol System, and the secret of their manufacture is only known to the haughty inhabitants of the Red Planet. Each ton of Martian Steel comes from ore wrested from the living hearts of Asteroidlings, costing a great deal in Martian ships and men every year to extract. This ore, along with the vengeful spirit of the dead planet Nibiru which lingers within, is reverently crafted into weapons of all varieties, but never armor. It is said that the forging process focuses the planet-spirit into a deadly rage, granting weapons made from the metal preternatural offensive properties. However, the forging process also increases the spirit-spite of the metal a thousandfold, to the extent that it will flow aside at its own accord to allow enemy attacks to hit its user. Therefore, weapons of Martian Steel are often seen throughout the Sol System as marks of the reckless or foolhardy, but their unique power cannot be denied. A blade of Martian Steel is the only one that can pierce the voidproof hide of an Astroraptor or crack the metal limbs of a Spectral Cyberman. It is rumored that Martian Steel swords forged by the greatest of Martian swordsmiths can even cleave ghosts in twain.
