To be filled in... Slowly.

TIMELINE

1601 - Civil war engulfs the Sultanate. Prince Daly Hassan, governor of the subcontinent and one of the contenders for the throne of his assassinated father, withdraws most of his troops to Tskhumkara and sets sail from the White City to the Sultanate, leaving the lands his great-grandfather had conquered to rule themselves. The barons of the subcontinent revolt almost immediately.

1603 - Noting the absence of its great enemy the Sultanate, the Khagarian Rus invades the peninsula. Resistance by the local baronies is lead by Prince Dusan Karic, "the tyrant of Sjenska" and distant ancestor of Srdjan Karic. After an exceedingly brutal campaign the Khagarians are thrown back over the Khasovskoy Ridge.

1606 - Flush with success Dusan Karic, now head of the council of nobles that ruled the subcontinent, calls for a war against Tskhumkara. The small southern state is the only holdout of the Sultan's power on the subcontinent. Several princes balk at the idea of this campaign, afraid that it will draw the ire of the Sultanate and afraid that the Khagarians will use this diversion to mount a second invasion. Eventually a third of the nobles refuse to follow Prince Karic, whose army is utterly defeated by Hussein Sinan Bey, the provincial governor of Tskhumkara. The legend of the "betrayal" of the primarily Vlasenican nobles who refused to aid Dusan Karic is the root for the centuries-long animosity between Sjenska and Vlasenica.

1985 - Assassination of Aleksandar Radojević by Jelena Kežman. Start of the Vlasenican civil war.

1986 - Siege of Sarakovar

Definitely has that Eastern Europe/Sheiks/African empire feel to it, with funny names and local conspiracies. Planning on writing any stories for it?

Oh yes, we have plenty ideas, but it's tricky to get the details just right, so we'll take a while to establish the setting first.
