Long Abscence Thread.

Post by Booted Vulture »

In the long tradition of getting all the old OZ threads slapped up on O1. It time for the long absences thread to return. Due to the fact starting tomorrow I shall be heading to Cantabria in Spain.

For three entirely geology filled weeks. Internet access and therefore Posts are probably going to be rare to nonexistant, so don't expect to hear from me.

Catch you on the flipside.
Ah Brother! It's been too long!

Maybe Spain has a colorful core, both in the ground and their history.

Maybe not a LONG absence per se, but I'll be out of action the next two or three days, moving out of the dorms and back home. Be good.

Well, I return from a week of drinking and theatre away from town. It was awesome. Now to get back into the routine.

Well, here's the deal. My computer is in its final days, as a reinstalling of the OS has resulted in one of the main files either not being installed properly, or being corrupted. I'm going to have to pull out the heavy artillery for this one, so for the next few days my online presence will be limited to the computer lab at college, which means I'll be online very little. If the tricks up my sleeve work, then I'll only be gone for 2 or 3 days, but if that doesn't work, then you could be looking at about 1-2 weeks as I send my computer to someone more knowledgeable in this realm. See ya.

It's sounds a lot worse than it is. My brother has a CD that can wipe clean my computer, creating a blank slate, and reinstalls the OS as it was when it was shipped from the factory. Granted, I have to reinstall everything from sratch, but I had forseen this, and made backups of all my vital files.

Good. It's just that my computer wasn't this screwed up when I decided to replace it. (my father's, on the other hand, has been rendered almost useless by the spywarezors! )

It's a bit early, but I'm putting it up anyway in case anyone needs anything from me - come next Friday the 20th of June I'm flying out to the Eternal City (that would be Rome to you uncultivated barbarians) for my yearly fix of fine food, great architecture, nice weather and pretty women. I will be back on Tuesday the 24th, presumably with pictures.

I return! From the rocky wastelands of Cantabria with a fresh crop of sunburn and nine square kilometres of mapped geology (albeit a good chunk of that is conjectural...)

Sup dudes?

I'll be out from today on to Saturday the 5th, in July. Camping/Hell/Whatever you want to call it. And even then, I don't know if I'll be able to get right back on.
